釋上隆下門 法師介紹
釋上隆下門法師,別號上圓下通,
現任屏東縣金龍山法輪禪寺住持。
依止上海下雲和尚 披剃出家,
受 具足戒。
2009年繼承賢首宗兼慈恩宗法系,
2011年晉山法輪禪寺,
一生弘揚佛法,培育僧俗二眾,
奠定佛學基礎的則是《法華經》,
另外亦有《華嚴經》、《金剛經》、
《止觀禪學》等著作,
亦有部分翻譯成英文版。
由於隆門圓通法師生長於經濟貧乏的農業時代,
對於急需關懷救濟之貧困苦難者,皆感同身受,
遂於1992年6月起陸續成立慧光慈善功德會、
慧光物資銀行,
亦接受屏東縣慈善團體聯合協會邀請,
參與該協會慈善事業行列,在全國做急難濟助、
喪葬、醫療救助、生活物資、清寒濟助、
屏東縣歲末關懷寒冬送暖活動等皆從無缺席;
為更能及時給予需要援助的關懷戶得到幫助,
乃於2013年8月創立慧光物資銀行總站,
同時與屏東縣政府合辦屏北物資銀行總站,
分配至給各城鄉社福中心做社會關懷。
2018年接辦屏東縣新埤鄉餉潭國小實驗教育,
2019年創立高雄市楠梓區社區藝文學苑,
2019年榮獲國際佛教傑出女性獎,
2021年建置慈隆全球資訊網。

隆門圓通法師以大慈悲行動關懷社會,是

屏東縣慧光圓通普賢文教基金會創會董事長、
屏東縣慧光千手觀音寺開山住持、

Bio-data
Master Shi Longmen, by the alias Yuantong enjoyed reading sutras when she was a little child. Then when she grew up, she relied on Venerable Haiyuen and was tonsured. After that, she established a sangha group and made four vows.
The first one was to cultivate healthy and integrated characters and elevate fulfilled lives. The second one was to expound Buddhism. Then she hoped to set up a Buddhist school for both monastics and lay Buddhists.
The last one was to build a traditional Chinese hospital to relieve the pains of poor people.

She has devoted herself to propagating Buddhism to benefit both monastics and lay Buddhists in the last few decades. She laid the foundation for Dharma learning first from the Lotus Sutra.
She also wrote some pamphlets about the Flower Adornment Sutra and the Diamond Sutra, some of which were translated into English.
Because she was born into a poor family, she has been feeling sympathetic for the poor and disadvantaged. As a result, she founded a charity foundation and a daily necessities supply center from 1992.
Also, she was invited by the Pingtung United Charity Association to involve in the emergency care, funeral aids, medical care, student scholarship awarding, etc.
In addition, she set up Pingtung resources center in cooperation with Pingtung County Government to extend help to those in need everywhere in Pingtung.
In 2010, she established a Buddhist school in Kaohsiung and offered classes such as Buddhism, Buddha Image Painting, Japanese, English, and so on, to benefit people in the neighborhood.
Recently, at the same school, she also offered art and handcraft classes for the senior citizens in the community as well as after school care program for kids.
In 1994, she set up Buddhist Culture and Education Foundation to help high school and college students from disadvantaged families by giving them scholarships.
Starting from 2016, she also pays the tuitions of disadvantaged college students until they graduate. And in 2017, she started to offer scholarships to the students in Yenpu, Pingtung.
In 2014, invited by the Pingtung County Government, she became a member of Pingtung Charity Fund Management Committee. The next year, she became a member of Taiwan Food Distribution Association to help collect, distribute and save food for those in need.
Then in 2016, she was elected President of Pingtung United Charity Association to help the homeless, the elderly and the poor.
Then she set up a food supply center in 2017 to deliver food to the elderly living alone in remote areas in Pingtung. The next year, the culture and education foundation took over Siang Tan Elementary School and started a 6-year laboratory school program in which the goals of Wisdom, Morality, Benevolence and Filial Piety were applied to the teaching and a few art classes were offered to the school children’s grandparents.
In 2019, she was hired as an advisor to the Chinese Character Education Society to improve the social customs and character cultivation.
In the past few decades, she has devoted herself to the propagation of Buddhism as well as social service., not only all over Taiwan, but also in Malaysia, Singapore, and China with only one cause in mind—to benefit all sentient beings, and she will never get tired of it.
