The Diamond Sutra goes, “All the Saṃskṛta dharmas are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows as well as dew and fire-flag, so we should regard them as such.”
The material civilization has brought welfare to people, but the scale is limited to the Earth only, which is like a drop in the bucket.
If we only take care of the Earth and abandon other boundless realms, this is like mistaking water bubbles for numerous seas.
The welfare brought to humans is temporary and false. The human life includes birth, old age, sickness, and death, and is like a dream or illusion.
People are enjoying materials and civilizations. Magic products and abundant inventions are made by sophisticated science and can benefit dreaming people, but when they wake up, all are empty.
Buddhists! Cherish everything. Cherish your blessings and cultivate wisdom. Vow to be diligent in this entire life.
Let’s encourage each other with this.
