持戒為功定為德
修定為功慧為德
有功有德俗福德
無功無德真功德
原來如是無多子
心賅萬象不合污
雪中藏鷺白如是
海天一際各如如
誦經會心義路明 如現大方廣佛經
法法根道無親疏 一念圓具無量法
南無大方廣佛華嚴經

大眾福慧增長
六時恆吉祥。
Abiding by precepts is the merit, and stability is the virtue.
Cultivating stability is the merit, and wisdom is the virtue.
Merits and virtues are worldly blessings.
Non-merits and non-virtues are real merits and virtues.
So actually there are very few people who are enlightened.
A simple mind isn’t contaminated by all phenomena.
Herons hiding in the snow is as white as the snow.
The sea melts into the sky, but each is eternally unchanged.
When reciting a sutra, realize the content, and the meaning will be clear. It’s like the Flower Adornment Sutra has manifested. The basics of different dharma are neither close nor remote. One thought can be replete with boundless dharma.

踏上法輪倍感親
蒼蒼綠樹正逢春
香茶陶享十方客
雄山秀水現聖尊
常懷大慚愧：無始苦輪迴…
佛命遍界捨：利生恩無極。
試問己隆門：何曾堅心地「精進證菩提」。

I feel extremely close and dear when coming to the Faluen Monastery.
The flourishing green trees meet the springtime.
The fragrant tea is made to please the visitors from Ten Directions.
The Sacred One manifests in the imposing mountains and elegant waters.
I often feel ashamed. Reincarnation has been painful since the non-beginning era. The Buddha lives are abandoned everywhere. They benefit sentient beings and their favor is unbounded.
I ask myself, “Have you ever been diligent in confirming the Bodhi?”
大圓天地明！
靜淨泯諸塵。
修證龍天護！
寺眾廣聚增。
廢寢忘食為三昧勤勇…夙夜匪懈為菩提修真。
大眾！是日已過，命亦隨減…珍惜此生身命。
自離母腹起……即不知不覺
而日增習心……日失其本心
習心增一分…… 本心即減一分
若欲明見本心……體悟萬法唯心
分分塵緣盡……分分道法明
塵心絕盡……踢破乾坤
吉祥！中秋佳節已近：祝福所有大眾出入平安。
闔家團圓樂安康：吉祥如意。

The big, round universe is bright.
Silence and purity can extinguish all contaminations.
Those who are cultivating and confirming are protected by the Naga and Deva.
The monastery is full of an increasing number of people.
I skip my sleep and meals and practice hard in order to attain Samadhi.
I practice from morning to night in order to attain Bodhi and cultivate truth.
Everyone! This day has passed, and life has reduced accordingly. Cherish your life.
After one was born, he did not know and did not perceive.
If his cultivation mind is increased day by day, his innate mind will be decreased day by day.
When the cultivation mind is increased by one percent, the innate one will be decreased by one percent.
If one wants to clearly see the innate mind, he should realize that all dharmas come from the mind only.
When the worldly conditions come to an end, the principles are clear.
When one’s worldly mind comes to an end, he can kick open the universe.
生命工程必需自己來！他人代不得！建立自己道路必備……
信念宜堅……志趣宜猛
心量宜大……氣度宜宏
學養宜富……慧解宜深
陰德宜積……功行宜篤
隨世應世；居塵出塵；鉅細畢照。修行不縛於行，萬有皆羅，共塵不離亦不住。雲淡風清，月自明。人生百歲古來希，生命善珍惜。共勉之。

The construction of your life has to be done by yourself. No one can do it for you. To construct your own way of life, you have to possess the following : firm conviction, strong ambition, a big heart, a broad mind, rich knowledge, deep wisdom and understanding, secret virtue, and true merit.
When in the world, comply with all. When in the contamination world, get out of it. Illuminate all, big and small. When cultivating, don’t be restrained by cultivation. All should be included. Neither leave nor abide in mutual contamination. The moon will naturally become bright when the clouds are thin and the breeze is mild. A man seldom lives to be a hundred years old. Cherish life.
萬般易淡……名心難淡
萬般易忘……親情難忘
萬般易滅……生心難滅
不大死一番……是難有受用
心若寂時境自空……
句句彌陀湛大光。

All can be ignored, but the pursuit of fame can’t.
All can be forgotten, but family love can’t.
All can be extinguished, but suspicion can’t.
It’s hard to gain profit without experiencing life and death.
When the mind is calm, the situation will naturally become empty.
When the name of Amitabha is repeated, clear brightness will arise.
Let’s encourage each other with this.
福田自心耕 至性澈寂靈
執說徒諍論 孰用詮勝諦
三輪化體空
誰？
自性眾生誓願度……
自性煩惱誓願斷……
自性法門誓願學……
自性佛道誓願成。
共勉之：吉祥
The blessing ground is cultivated from the mind. The sincere nature is clear in the silent soul. Exposition may bring debates. Who will use it to explain the magnificent truth? The giver, the receiver, and the object being given will turn into nothing.
Who?
I vow to transform sentient beings with their innate nature.
I vow to sever afflictions with their innate nature.
I vow to learn dharma approaches with their innate nature.
I vow to achieve the Buddha Path with its innate nature.
Let’s encourage each other with this.
白霧紫峰雲汊間
名山古剎幾經年
禪堂香燒十方客
泉瀑飛流一瀾煙
坐聽松風欽地藏
衣披九峰仰慕寰
霞光四射九峰環
風光不拒聖與凡
德立家風揚九華
南無大願地藏王菩薩摩訶薩

The white mist and purple peaks are hidden in the clouds.
How many years have the famous mountains and old temples gone through!
The visitors from Ten Directions circle around the meditation room with incense.
The waterfall flies and flows, making swelling smoke.
I sit down and listen to the sound of the pine trees, admiring Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva,
Who covered the nine mountains with his robe and was admired by the world.
The sunglow brightens around the nine mountains.
Such a scene doesn’t exclude sacred people or ordinary ones.
Family principles are established with virtues and are famous in the Jiou Hua Mountains.

世上有誰見過風
漫天移動過程中
弱水三千永不休
奔流入海不回頭
若無天降甘露物
那有江河萬古流
天地震盪雷霆起

拂曉難尋西與東
山出盈光風起勢
陰霾一掃見長空

Who in the world has seen the wind that moves in the sky?
The river water extends three thousand miles and never rests.
It rushes into the sea and doesn’t return.
If there is no rain from the sky,
How can there be rivers flowing eternally?
Heaven and earth vibrate and thunders arise,
Awakening all living things and illuminating all towering figures.
The moon sets in the curved mountains and everything is misty.
It’s hard to find one’s direction at dawn.
The twilight appears in the mountains and the wind starts,
dispelling the haze and clearing the skies.
Auspiciousness to you all. In memory of my teacher.
信願！
浩浩三藏不可窮 淵深七浪境為風
受薰持種根身器 去後來先作主公
行願！
觀音大悲永無終 娑婆應感無定蹤
無盡剎土無盡事 菩提涅槃法界中
悲願！
補處功行且莫論 還從大願行堪忍
三途惡趣頻度還 要使群生脫苦網
七寶林中八德池 一生成辦事非誣
算盡恆沙總不知 如斯大願同讚揚
唯有西方登品蓮 此土原無惡道名
迦陵頻伽婉交嗚 沙界群生蒙接引
寶蓮開時悟無生 南無阿彌陀佛
舒心共享
The Vow of Faith
The vast tripiṭaka is boundless.
The Seven Consciousnesses are in the deep abyss where situations are the wind.
The Eighth Consciousness is fumigated and holds the karma seeds of sentient beings.
It comes first when one is born and leaves last when one dies, and is thus one’s master.
The Vow of Act
The great compassion of Avalokitesvara never ends. He responds and perceives in the Saha World without fixed whereabouts. There are unlimited matters in the unlimited realms. The Bodhi and the Nirvana are in the dharma area.
The Vow of Compassion
The merit of waiting to fill the vacancy will not be discussed yet. He follows the great vows and practices tolerance. Those in theThree Paths and Evil Destinations are frequently rescued. He wants to rescue sentient beings from suffering.
He established the pond of eight merits and the woods of seven jewels. What he has achieved isn’t false. Even if the sand of the Ganges is all counted, one still doesn’t know. Such a great vow is praised by all. Only the Pure Land with ranks of lotus seats have no names of evil paths.
The birds of wondrous voices chirp gently. The living beings in the Saha World are led to this land. When the treasure lotuses are blooming, one will realize the Non-arising. Namo Amitabha Buddha!

三昧玄深豈易窮
空中常見恆沙佛
諸色蓮華洵大觀
為問何人托質來
憨山大師曾說這兩句話．不讀《法華》不知如來救世之苦心，
不讀《楞嚴》不知修心、迷與悟之關鍵。
因《楞嚴經》無法不備，「無機不攝」，乃是法門之精髓。
此經，文辭優美，義理豐富，是無上甘露。
其機應微塵界國土，亦於十方蒙佛授記…共勉之。
舒心分賞…南無阿彌陀佛
Samadhi is mysterious and profound, and is hard to master.
Numerous Buddhas are often seen in the skies.
Lotus flowers of various colors swirl and make a magnificent scene,
As if asking who supports these flowers?
Master Han Shan said, “One will not know the painstaking effort of the Tathagata to rescue living beings if he doesn’t read the Wondrous Dharma Lotus Flower Sutra. One will not know the key to cultivating the mind and to the difference between delusion and enlightenment if he doesn’t read the Shurangama Sutra.”
This is because the Shurangama Sutra is replete with all dharmas and benefits sentient beings of all different capabilities. It’s the elite of all dharma approaches. With its elegant language and rich doctrines, this sutra is supreme sweet dew. Also it corresponds with the dust realms and is credited by Buddhas in the Ten Directions.
