Existence and Non-existence

Existence and Non-existence

The Buddha said, “All Dharmas are guided by the will which is the host and gives rise to everything.” What a person does or what profession he is in is subject to the mind, the will, and the consciousness. They are the director, the commander-in-chief, and the command center.

The Ignorance Causality Action in the Twelve Causalities includes the body action, speech, and the mind action corresponded by ignorance. It is the power for reincarnation and is the root of affliction as well as life and death. Buddhas and saints also possess this. They also walk, eat, and talk.

Then, how do we define the difference between ordinary people and saints? In short, saints give rise to thoughts and start their action by not abiding in an object. Ordinary people give rise to thoughts and do every kind of things by abiding in an object.

Because people abide in something, take something, adhere to something, bear something in mind as such, start actions as such, and give rise to karmic retributions as such, what is brought about is the fruit of sorrow, sadness, and vexation.

Ancient sages said, “The night with bright moonlight is the same in front of every window, but the window with plum blossoms will make a difference.” Whether one will become an ordinary person or a sage depends on whether he is abiding in something or not.

Let’s share this short text. Auspiciousness to you all.
