行路難,不在水不在山;

天地寒暑容易避,唯知世道無能逆;

A Self-Introspection—Words from the Enlightened Mind

It’s hard to walk on the road, which is neither in the water nor in the mountains. But it’s even harder to ask people for help; they may be found changeable and unpredictable. Cold ice is thin, but favors are even thinner. In this human world, people are sometimes passionate and sometimes cold, and this is hard to eradicate.

Cold or hot weather is easy to shun, but the world’s principles cannot be violated. One who knows his own destiny will not blame the gods, and one who knows himself will not accuse others.

One is virtuous if he bears no grudge. He has to endeavor to study every day to become knowledgeable and virtuous. When one is learning, he also has to learn to be able to teach by example, change his self-nature, and develop a compassionate mind which can contain the green landscape.

Green mountains and waters make the world wider. The prosperous and macroscopic life should be well-planned.

Auspiciousness to everybody.
