Sweet Dew for the soul—II
One has retreated after losing in everything.
He is ashamed of his body that is unhealthy and miserable.
His rosy cheeks are gone with the wind without a trace, and
His gray hair appears like frost.
He thinks of happy childhood with tears, and
Upon seeing people, he prattles on his robust years.
It is better to know that spring is everlasting in the Pure Land
Than to live a physically and mentally busy life.
Know the Three Emptiness and Four Wisdom. Transcend the First Fruit, and reach the Tenth Position. Bow to Avalokitesvara, abide by Mahasthamaprapta, and worship the Tathagata to ask for wisdom. Repay your parents’ giving birth and raising, and have the concept of karma.
Do not blame the gods and accuse other people. Life is like a river that flows without stopping and contains dirt more or less. One should accept things and, like the river, should not lose his nature. One should cultivate a tolerant nature and become an ocean that admits hundreds of rivers and thus becomes vast.
