The Wind of Karma

The Wind of Karma

The word wind is used as a metaphor of karma for sentient beings float in the sea of life and death due to their good or bad karmas just like the wind blowing withered leaves or boats.

The wind of karma fosters the Big Four just like fruits ripening.  Volume Four of the Vijñāpti-mātratā-siddhi says, “Alaya-vijñāna floats according to the wind of karma, universally relies on roots of various kinds, and keeps turning eternally.”

The karmic force is like the wind.  Good karma is like the wind that blows sentient beings to a good place to enjoy happiness.  Bad karma is like the wind that blows sentient beings to a bad place to suffer.

People argue for personal opinions.  Who is wrong?  In fact, no one is wrong.  It’s just a matter of different angles and different ways of thinking.

There is no need to complain about so many frustrations in life.  Suppose we can put ourselves in others’ shoes, we will understand others, cherish others, and get rid of rancor.  We should learn to take things coolly and be more responsible.
