When the Hot Summer Leaves, the Cold Winter Will Come

When the Hot Summer Leaves, the Cold Winter Will Come

One should penetrate into the real form and return to his origin.

Karmas are illusory and without arising.

All should return to the True Suchness.

The spring in the mountains flows along the valley.  The green, unbroken chain of peaks and the unending flow of the river witness numerous birth, aging, sickness, death, pain, happiness, sadness, and joy.

Heaven and earth are remote in space, and the streams are clear and green.  The affairs of life are distant and will eventually disappear into the long skies.  For millions of years, how many people have been at a loss in the pains of the world?

How many bewildered and painstaking people feel unable to breathe under the torture of life?  Everyone wants to find the flawless circumstances in life, and everyone wants to cultivate to the extent that the Big Four are all empty.

In the bitter sea of birth, aging, sickness, and death, what kind of boats do people take?  In the dark night of impermanent meetings and partings, what kind of faces will people show?

Ask yourself:  where were you from when you were born, and where are you going when you die?

Do not feel joyful when you are leading an abundant life, and do not feel sad when you are meeting frustrations.  Your mind should not change with the circumstances, and neither should it be puzzled by them.  When we are dealing with people and matters, what kind of situations are we facing?  People who drink it know whether the water is hot or cold.

For all eternality, the life and death of everything in this human world have been caused by affinities.  All views and thoughts will eventually return to the Great Void.  But where will the Great Void go then?

Wisdom shines on the wondrous mind and illuminates the universe.

When following the flows, we should always remain steady and reach the opposite shore together.
