The Bodhi Sweet Dew—IV

All Dharmas manifest at the death’s door and are pervasively magnificent in the Void.

The radiance of the nature, which is neither broad nor narrow, shines alone eternally.

Thousands of kinds of treasure flowers cover the flowing spring water of the pond.

The breeze shakes the flowers and leaves, and the light gives out flames crisscross.

Why does the Bodhisattva with myriad of magnificent merits make such a vow?  He has found that in this Saha world of tolerance, all living beings have a lot of afflictions and their thoughts are like the surging waves that make people vexed.

Seeing such a phenomenon of suffering, the Bodhisattva makes a compassionate vow to bring all living beings to a greatly pure place.  He makes a pure and magnificent vow to build a pure realm.  From the Dharma nature, he manifests the pure land which is radiant, magnificent, and unrestrained.  There, even a tiny grain of dust can contain the Buddha realms in the Ten Directions and give out light that shines everywhere in the Ten Directions as an offering to the Buddhas.

All Dharmas are pervasively magnificent in the Void and are too broad to believe.  When a Bodhisattva attains Buddhahood, the radiance of the nature shines alone eternally, and perfectly and completely fulfills the great vow of myriad of magnificent merits.  The perfect and complete achievement shows the land with pure bodies as well as the unique wondrous realm.

We have to learn deeply and concretely from the Bodhisattvas to understand and achieve.  Also we have to see the sufferings of the turbid land with wisdom and then give rise to a compassionate vow and gradually cultivate the countless direct and circumstantial retributions.  Only with the merit of the sambhogakāya can we eternally manifest the pure, broad, and wondrous magnificence.
