The Mental Cultivation of Bodhi
又云;

The Mental Cultivation of Bodhi
Diligence can help one cross the bitter sea of life and death.
Wisdom can bring one out of the karmic path of reincarnation.
When one vows to rescue others, he is actually rescuing himself.
The retributions of the heavenly law are accurate.
The Chapter of Entering the Dharma Realm of the Mahāvaipulya Buddhāvataṃsaka Sūtra goes, “The Tathagata is like a lamp in the world and penetrates all of the dharmas. He gives rise to the blessings of three eras to make all sentient beings pure.”
The Tathagata is a lamp that shines the world and penetrates all of the dharmas. He can give rise to the blessings of three eras to purify all sentient beings. The Tathagata’s wondrous appearance is admired by all. One will not detest even if he keeps admiring the Tathagata for myriad of kalpas.
When seeing the wondrous appearance of the Buddha, a Buddhist will surely abandon his greed for the Three Realms and will go back to the Bodhi Path.
The Chapter of Entering the Dharma Realm of the Mahāvaipulya Buddhāvataṃsaka Sūtra also goes, “If one can see the Buddha, he will be able to get rid of all sufferings and enter the realm of great wisdom of all Tathagatas.”
If one can see the Buddha, he will be able to stay away from all obstacles, nurture endless blessings, and achieve the Bodhi path.
The Chapter of Entering the Dharma Realm of the Mahāvaipulya Buddhāvataṃsaka Sūtra goes again, “The appearing of the Tathagata in this world brings a great field of blessings. He universally guides all the sentient beings to accumulate blessings.”
If someone makes offerings to the Buddha, he will sever his fear of the Evil Path forever, extinguish all sufferings, and attain the body of wisdom. Because Bodhisattvas enjoy being mindful of the Buddha, they can complete countless Bodhisattva vows and fulfill the countless Bodhisattva vows perfectly with the forces of admonition, stability, and wisdom.
Bodhisattvas have various kinds of compassionate vows. For example, in terms of the vows of benefitting living beings, they wish that livings beings could get rid of sins, increase blessings, attain eloquence, open up wisdom, add a Bodhi mind, cease afflictions, and consolidate the right thoughts as long as they see, hear, recall, and touch. All these can be accomplished perfectly in a very short time. Cultivation is a real, not false, journey.
Be steady, realistic, but not grandstanding.
To research in a false manner lacks sincerity.
Buddhism should be learned in a practical way.
Know your mind, keep in mind constantly, and the Buddha nature will manifest.
We should encourage each other on the path of cultivation. Diligence can help us cross the bitter sea of life and death.
