The Soul Engineering—XIX

The Soul Engineering—XIX

All of the phenomena in the world arise due to the harmony and combination of affinities.  All of the realms are within the consciousness mind and illusory manifestation.  The Buddha set up the Buddhist doctrines in the mundane world filled with the Five Desires because He took pity on the sentient beings who did not know where to resort to and because He sympathetically tried to help them get enlightened.

Ordinary people live in joy, anger, sadness, and happiness.  They also make a living between brightness and darkness, actions and non-actions, bitterness and happiness, gains and losses, right and wrong, goodness and badness, blessings and disasters, as well as taking and giving.  They all live in the false situations.

One may have a bright appearance if he gives rise to good thoughts, and may have a dark one if he gives rise to evil thoughts.  If he is extremely bored, he may have the appearance of obsession and ignorance and fall into the crack of avyakata.  Learning how to be a Buddha makes sentient beings keep, believe, and practice the Bodhi mind when good or bad situations manifest.

All these are dreamy situations.  Good thoughts belong to beautiful dreams, while evil ones belong to evil dreams.  If a spiritual practitioner wants to get liberated from so many afflictions in life, he has to transcend the illusory dreams.

Truth is not the consciousness action that is thought of, but is the prajnaparamita engendered by confirming into the empty nature and intrinsic suchness.  In the Bodhi true suchness, one has to cultivate the selfless and really compassionate actions.  In order to awaken the world, he has to spare no effort to abide by the mission, do the difficult job, and keep his mind unmoved.  Such an illusory situation is hard to enter.  If one can achieve the real nature by cultivation, he will be able to turn afflictions into Bodhi, which is the terminal goal of practitioners.
