學佛為讓人們遠離痛苦獲得快樂,
這不是為了獲得世俗價值的名利為目的。
學佛法教,是說明佛法的義涵,需要善知識的引領,使學佛者獲得正確的認識、不至犯錯。
學佛修行,為使本來已經有良好品行的人,了解佛法宗旨,更能通達人生高層境界,不至墮落。
學佛,也讓一些對自己心性沒把握的人,或心懷恐懼的人,對佛法有了認識,知道自己應該學佛法,進而產生學習的信念。
華藏世界觀,認為每個眾生都有人性缺陷,所以藉由學佛提出許多不同改善人性的方法,引導世人脫離人生的困境。
引導學禪定與智慧觀的方法,
給予佛子各依自根性的修行法門。
提出專念佛號的淨土法門,
給予眾生學佛的信心。
無論禪、淨、律、密,
八萬四千法門,
這種種的善巧方便,
都是佛菩薩
慈悲的教誨。

The Advantages of Learning to Be a Buddha
To learn to be a Buddha is to bring people away from suffering and bring them happiness rather than gain mundane fame and profit.
When one is learning to be a Buddha and studying the doctrines, he needs the guidance of virtuous friends so that he can know the content of Buddhism, have a correct understanding of it, and will not make mistakes.
Learning to be a Buddha and the cultivation of Buddhism aim at making those with good moral conduct know the gist of the Buddhist Dharma and reach the higher level of life so that they won’t fall into sin.
Learning to be a Buddha also makes those who are not sure about their nature or are fearful have a better understanding of the Buddhist Dharma, know that they should cultivate Buddhist Dharma, and then develop a conviction for learning.
In the Hua Tzang Realm, each living being is considered to have shortcomings in human nature, so learning to be a Buddha may provide many means to help one improve his human nature and get rid of the predicament in life.
Buddhist disciples are instructed to learn Samadhi and wisdom view and to cultivate appropriate approaches according to their individual capabilities.
The Pure Land Approach that focuses on being mindful of Buddhas’ names is offered to give confidence to the practitioners.
The 84,000 dharma approaches, including the Dhyana (Zen) School, the Pure Land School, the Vinaya (Precept) School, and the Tantra (Secret) School, provide practitioners with skillful means and expedients that are the merciful teachings of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
