Pondering
I ponder in my room in the night. It strikes me that everything is impermanent and therefore we do not have to cling to it. There are afflictions in whatever we do and so we don’t have to care about it.
All Buddhist Dharmas mention selflessness and one will be unrestrained if he can set aside his body and mind. Only when all desires and afflictions are completely eradicated are people really living. During the silent night I keep thinking that selflessness means the mind has no burdens and is empty. It is non-empty to always be a compassionate and joyful person. It is not-empty in emptiness to be carefree under any circumstances and to do compassionate jobs magnanimously.
It is empty in non-emptiness to do compassionate deeds without asking for rewards and to behave naturally without asking for fame or sticking to the self.
